Bone athames are made from natural bone and appearance varies from each Athame. Variations in size, color, striations as well as naturally occurring pits, indentations, and a curved blade tip are to be expected. Colors will vary from photo. Horn/Bone is from from buffalo who have died a natural death; due to the sacredness of cows and buffalo, they are not killed by the craftspersons for meat or crafting.
