Thank you, 13 Moons, for a very satisfying 1st shopping experience. My order arrived lightening fast. The box was expertly packed. I called your office and left a voice mail regarding receipt of a damaged chest (item was sealed in factory box so damage was not the fault of 13 Moons. Wooden chest appeared to have been made wrong.) My call was returned within an hour of leaving voice mail. I just received the replacement chest today, a mere 2 days after reporting problem. I requested you open package containing chest prior to sending replacement to make sure item was not damaged and it looks like that was done. This superb customer service will have me coming back for additional purchases. Sending Gratitude & Blessings!

Brigid Colorful
Goddess of Home & Hearth

A few of Brigid's many talents are shown in this piece in which she holds a flame and presides over a Celtic decorated cauldron. A lovely art sculpture that shows off all of Brigid's many talents through symbols. With flowing red hair and wearing a circlet, Brigid stands in front of a glowing hearth. She wears a long green dress accented with gold-yellow embroidery and belt bearing the Celtic Triskele. She holds her flame over the Celtic Cauldron, accented with Brigid's Cross, welcoming all who seek the Divine.

The Celtic Goddess Brigid is the female heart of Ireland, though Her worship spread far beyond its borders.

Bridget is known as the Goddess of:

  • Inspiration
  • Healing/Skill to Healers
  • Poetry
  • Smithcraft/The Forge
  • Fire
  • Water
  • Fertility
  • Childbirth
  • All forms of Creation
  • Vision
  • Harmony
  • Justice
  • Strength to Warriors

Symbols commonly associated with Brigid:

  • Cattle
  • Horse
  • Sacred Wells
  • Herbs
  • Trees

Her presence is felt and still worshiped at Her sacred wells, and at Kildare where an eternal flame still burns in Brigit's honor and is still quietly attended by eighteen maidens.

The Catholic Church made her a saint due to her fervent worshippers, who accepted Christ, but could not endorse a religion that excluded her.

Other names/spellings: Brigit, Brighid, Brigid, Bride, Breed, Birdie, Brigantia, Brittania, and St. Brigit. February 2nd, known as Imbolc, is sacred to Brigid, as February 1st is the sacred day of St. Brigit.

She stands 9 1/2 inches tall. Crafted of Polystone and is handpainted.
