Cernunnos, The Horned God Bronze Statue

Cernunnos is the conventional name given in Celtic studies to depictions of the "horned god". Often depicted with the antler of a stag like Pan and Herne the Hunter, Cernunnos is the God of:

  • Fertility
  • Life
  • Animals
  • Wealth
  • And, at times, the Underworld

He is worshiped in many parts of the British Isles and Western Europe. The depiction of Cernunnos mostly came from the early Christian literature, commentaries from Greek and Roman scholars and archaeological evidence.

Today, many of us honor Cernunnos as an aspect of the God, the embodiment of masculine energy, fertility and power

The detail throughout this piece of art is extraordinary giving you a quality portrayal of the Lord of the Forest for your sacred space.

Description of Statue

Rising from the forest, the Bearded God is depicted with antlers of a stag and the downy face, ears and horns of a goat. Braids can be seen on each side. He wears a coiled torq around his neck as well as a garland of leaves with a Pentacle charm.
