Birch Anglo Saxon Set

The birch symbolizes new beginnings, regeneration, and illumination. It can bring courage and determination to those of us who are treading the path of spiritual growth.

In Anglo-Saxon English and Old Norse, the word Rune meant secret law, mystery and magical signs. Rune Masters, who could be male or female, were considered to be the most important people in the community next to the village chief. Identified by their deep blue cloaks and leather charm pouches which they wore at their belts, the Rune Masters would normally carry a bronze-tipped wooden staff carved with runic inscriptions to show their power and status.

Each tile was sanded, marked, and burned by hand. Each Rune is made of natural branches; some may have bark still on them. Each set is cut from the same branch in order to assure continuity of being. Your Runes are not stamped; each is carefully wood burned and sealed with an all natural oil. Experience the magick of Birch Wood! Each natural rune set will vary, may not exactly match the photo. Your set includes a drawstring bag.

Your set includes:

  • 25 Natural Wood Tiles: 24 of which are hand carved; and 1 blank.
  • Drawstring Pouch for Travel, Storage and Protection. (Pouch may vary.)
