The Great Old One-Cthulhu
Cthulhu is the best known of the Old Ones from the mythos that bares his name created by author H.P. Lovecraft. The Great Old Ones are a pantheon of Gods that have been forgotten by humanity and rule us with no care or attention. Cthulhu is a bat-winged giant octopus that has been held captive under the surface of the sea for millenia.
Cthulhu first appeared in literature in Lovecraft's story The Call of Cthulhu published in 1928.
