Yemaya is the Ocean Goddess and the Mother of All Life. You see her with long, flowing hair standing before you in the ocean waves with a star upon her forehead and beads at her throat. She is the life-giving portion of the ocean. Protector of dolphins, ducks, swans, oysters, fish and more. She loves life and will work with you to improve your life in many ways. When placed on your altar or any other sacred places, Yemaya will bring you the love of life. Work with her and always be thankful to Yemaya as your life improves.
Yemaya is also a Moon Goddess, the protector of Mothers and Children. Yemaya is especially celebrated on seasonal holidays of the Summer time. Dec. 21st and Feb 2nd in the Southern Hemisphere, and June 21st and August 2nd in the North. Summer Solstice and August Eve.
