According to the famous "Order of the Golden Dawn", a talisman is a "magical figure charged with the Force which it is intended to represent". These forces are thought to be planetary or elemental forces; sometimes called angels, or spirits.
Talismans are prepared for specific reasons; to invoke a definite purpose for the user.
This collection of talismans have been re-created from ancient sources such as, The Greater Key of Solomon and The Black Pullet. They have been chosen based on their ability to invoke only the blessings of good spirits to do good works!
The Talisman for Invisibility measures 1 3/8 inches in diameter. All Talismans have been carefully reproduced in the U.S. by skilled artists and include an adjustable black cord with a fully descriptive booklet about their magical properties.
All Talismans are made of the highest quality Excelsior (lead-free) Pewter.
This design was discovered in a manuscript of Magical Talismans dating from the time of Napoleon's incursion into Egypt in 1798. The legend states:
“An officer in the army of Napoleon was sent on an expedition to the Pyramids. In the shadow of "The Grand Colossus" (The Great Pyramid), they were attacked by a horde of "Arabs of the Desert". In a fierce battle all were slain save the brave officer, who was mortally wounded. He thought the end was near when, "suddenly a stone rolled back in the Pyramid and a venerable man issued forth." The Sage took the officer inside of the Great Pyramid where "there were vast halls and endless galleries, subterranean chambers piled with treasures, apparitions of blazing lamps, ministering Spirits innumerable….." After gaining the confidence of the Ancient Sage, the officer was made apprentice and was taught "in the powers and wonders of twenty two Talismanic figures and the Rings corresponding…"
