In the Wizarding World I have a 13” unyielding dragon heart string Blackthorn wand. I searched high and low for wands made of blackthorn that were 13”. Boy was that a chore! There were loads of cast iron wands, the actual thorns from the blackthorn, but no wands specifically. After days of searching I happened upon 13 Moons on Etsy. Lo and behold, there was a 13” blackthorn wand! I was hoping to find one with the more black coloring of the bark, but this was the closest I could find. Let me just say, I couldn’t be happier!! The wand fits perfectly in my hand and I actually love the natural beauty of the bark stripped section. The un-stripped section makes for a great handle/grip. My Slytherin House cosplay outfit is one step closer to being complete!

The wand is rather nice! The Harry Potter aesthetic is similar to the style of wand a band, or orchestra conductor would use which is one of the recommended types for beginners.

Is absolutely amazing, love the feel of it and the weight of it is all perfect. Put it some by side with a different commissioned wand and found it is the exact same length which makes me so happy since it is the exact length that my wand (pottermore) wand is.
